Indian politics is suddenly going the online route, there are parties who have launched their web sites, and well, for once if you are on the internet, you would not have missed the Google Ads which splash all over the internet, saying Advani as PM!
First things First
I really am not a keen follower on politics and what happens around, but NOW its that time of the year, when I VOTE, when I EXCERCISE my POWER given to me by the constitution of India and choose the future which Leads India.
I saw LK Advani sharing his views on the Varun Gandhi hate speech issue
And well, I decided, for sure, this is not the man I would like my country to be led by! A man who cannot stand up and take responsibility is not whom I WILL VOTE for! Just playing around with words without coming on a final conclusive stand is not something that you would be able to attract the youth of India with.
You get VOTES in south India, depending upon how Good the saree that you distributed to the Ladies is and same goes for the menfolk with their dhotis
I was travelling to deliver a lecture at one of the most premier institutions of learning in India a couple of days back, and I was lucky enough to share the space for 4.5 hours with a gentleman from a reputed IT Giant in India. Being from Bangalore, he commented
“In South India, people vote, on tha basis of the quality of the Sarees distributed to the women, and the quality of the dhotis to the men, and well, to top it all, depends upon how good the chicken biryani was”
I was amazed at this comment. The most learned class votes for FREE sarees and Dhotis and some food? Talk about Indian politics!
Will I VOTE?
YES! I always have! And I feel its time for all to be aware and decisive and the decision should be based upon, NOT the sarees and the food or the money, but a decision on awareness, on the fact that whatever you leave now, your shildren will be getting it later!
Social Media and the Changing Political Scene
The world of Social Media has changed the landscape. Its a complete shift from people just voting because there families have been supporters of ‘A’ political party, to taking an informed decision! Initiatives like Jaagore.com and Lead India (The Campaign by the Times Of India, Times Group) have refreshed the concept and put in people the quest to know and GO OUT AND VOTE and VOTE the RIGHTEOUS LEADER of the FIRST LOVE – INDIA!
If i says our coming advanced pm of India, it’s all bull shit.
I won’t think they even know about Google, the mind behind all this is some one else. This is just only the part on money honey game. No one ask where the money comes from, how much they spent and what is the purpose to using all this. The people who all using internet in India are almost well educated, these type of marketing won;t change their mind about elections. I second my thoughts with lalit on,that, today people are more aware of who to vote and stuff, but on the prima facie these politicians are well aware of tecnologies they use and i think that is not bad.I hope we get a good government this time “too” and not led by “Animals” who take a smaller route to brand themselves by make foolish statements,as, like public have no mind of there own.
Anshul I agree to you on this, in fact after Social Networks like Jaagore.com and initiatives like the Times Lead India, people are more aware of stuff and are more informed.
Though there is a reason I wrote this post which is, I somehow know the background of the entire online marketing campaign which is being done by the BJP and believe me there is no focus!
Instead of spreading message of solidarity and fighting back the recession, there are splashes all around of Advani as PM! Well, this is just a trick pulled out of the hat nothing else. I know how serious is the agency handling the online marketing for BJP.

Its ok that you dont want Advani as a PM, but whom do you than want to be ? Mr. Manmohan Singh who fears to take hard decisions, and waits for every steps reviewed by Mrs. Sonia Gandhi or whatever else it may be. For sure he is the weakest PM in the Indian constitutional history. Yes for Sure, I would have voted congress if they have represented Mr. Rahul gandhi as the PM. Why does he denies for such post when he is a youth icon for the country youth. Why ? Why ? Why ?
on the above i want to add another fact.in 2004 when searched on the name of”Narendra modi”you would have got only about riots and hatred for him n all that suff.but now if you search for “narendra modi” you will get praises of him for his work!!!!!.ok all of us know that yes he has contributed much in in the development of gujarat .then why not BJP gives his name for PM candidature.atleast he does much except playing with words unlike L K Advani…
