Yes Sir, MakeMyTrip – Working for Every Smile

May 18th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

This is one of the best wins of my social media/ Internet career and I am feeling amazingly excited today. So here’s the story. The last blog I wrote on MakeMyTrip.com’s customers posting negative comments on their official fb page, got some interesting feedback.

And Here’s the Experiment

So, what I did was simple. I reached out to 3 people who had left negative comments on the MMT facebook fan page. When I say I reached out, I simply went to there fb profiles and sent them a message. A message which clearly said that I am not a MMT employee/ representative but someone who is amazingly passionate about customer service and obviously about creating a great organisational structure, which is driven by the customer WOWness.

After sending the message, I waited for them to reply and so the reply came, of 2 gentlemen, who had faced genuine problems in their respective cases while transacting with MMT.

And so came the reply

When I received the reply it was all about sharing by these gentlemen about how they faced problems and what solution would suffice them and what suggestions they have for MMT.

The reply was forwarded to relevant people at MMT and they Swung into ACTION

I forwarded the reply to the relevant people at MMT and wallah, they swung into action. Interestingly I was not even aware what was happening, till I got this ping on fb by this gentleman who said, Paritosh thanks, my issue has been sorted out and I have my refund from MMT. The issue was taken care of within hours of you reaching out to me.

I had and still have no Interest whatsoever in this story

Why did I do all this? Well, I have no personal interests. Neither am I being paid by anyone here, just that MMT is one company I have always respected, especially for the leadership it has in the form of Deep Kalra, someone I deeply respect. I personally could not see it going down like this and hence took the step of trying to get it right.

Social Media and Brand Reputation

People talk about social media and brand reputation (ORM), well, here’s a simple example of how a customer who was utterly negative about MMT, finally wrote a wonderful, thanking comment on the official MMT fb page :)

There’s no magic here, just pure passion for customer service and to see MMT from great to Greatness! I am happy that it all worked out well and that this experiment created an actual POC and a roadmap of what one needs to do. You don’t need to invest shit loads of money into your social media, you have to be passionate about your customer and the service.

Lets see if I do get a recommendation by MMT now :P he he..

Yes Sir, Make My Trip – A Personal Account

May 11th, 2012 § 2 comments § permalink

Yes Sir, Make My Trip.

This is for sure one of the most interesting posts I have ever done and why? Well, because it has everything which takes you from being Good to Great! From sweat to passion, challenges to emotions and much more. Lets start with the present and rewind…

What I did Yesterday on facebook, post a few phone calls:

A couple of days back, while conversing with couple of folks, about Indian entrepreneurs who have made it large and have created powerful Inspiration for many others, I cited Deep Kalra of Make My Trip. Personally I have said it multiple times and once again on record, Deep is one of the best folks Iv met and admire. Out of the many, Iv learnt the lesson of humility and humbleness from him.

Coming to the discussions we had, some folks pointed out, how they knew of relatives and friends, who have had bad experiences with Make My Trip. (For those who don’t know MMT) it created a history of sorts post its listing at NASDAQ on August 12th 2010. That day MMT created another milestone in the history of Indian entrepreneurship and gave wings and fire to zillions of dreams!

Now while the discussions were happening, I was very much only in the listening mode, as it was interesting for me to note reactions of these people who have been MMT customers at some point of time themselves.

My assessment: most of them were really referring to experiences they know other’s had and did not have personal stories to tell!

Moving On…

I searched the official https://www.facebook.com/mmtdeals. The page actually had some pretty sad experiences listed by customers of MMT. Most of them really referring to the ‘customer service’. To actually gather real feedback, I posted the following on my fb wall:

Right after I did this post, people started commenting and sharing. Though there were no real harsh comments (no more harsher than mine).

What happened in a few minutes?

In under 10 minutes of sharing this update, I got a tweet from @makemytripcare: I loved it. When I say I loved it, I mean it. Coz there was someone who followed my fb post through twitter and responded within minutes in a very neutral manner!

But what about the bad experiences on fb?

As always, I try my level best to really get the facts right and from the horses’ mouth. I reached out to the relevant representative(s) from MMT and apprised them of what’s happening on fb.

Interestingly, what came out was, that each of the issue as posted by the customers’ was actually being looked into and many of them actually being responded back. Just that the same was not followed up strongly on the social web.

Example: have a look at this:

Obviously there is more negative than the positive on the page, but there is actual action being taken, which is not being presented the right way, which is obviously creating a very negative context in the customer’s minds towards the brand MMT.

But There is an an issue for Sure!

Yes! There sure are issues and they happen with every organisation which is ever growing. Though obviously every growing organisation strives to achieve greatness, there always are challenges which convert into learning’s and those who learn, they grow to the next level.

My personal interaction with the top management of MMT ensured that there is actual response and action being taken to set things right.

An Email from MMT

I got this official communication from MMT, which said: “Thanks for sharing your candid and valid feedback. We’re passionate about Customer Service AND social media so disappointed to see where this is getting dropped. Will investigate and fix it

And this is not from a customer care exec over the phone, that I can vouch for with my personal reputation. I don’t mean to demean any position here. Each one, from the lowest in the hierarchy to the top boss, makes for a strong organisation.

Its You and Me who Make the Story!

I want to raise a major question now and I ask of each one of you to introspect and you will know what’s wrong here. Its not the company which is bad. Who is the company? Nothing but you and me.

I personally know of so many people I would not like to work with in my lifetime, when I start-up again, because they are working only with one motivation, to make money to run their lives and have no passion for what feeds them and their children!

That’s the issue. There is only as much an organisation can do to motivate and inspire people, but if you have a problem with your attitude, well, then its a problem and you need to get out OR be made to part ways. Period. I strongly feel, that I am as much part of the issue here.

As a customer, if I am facing an issue with a service provider, let me own it up and make myself heard. And rightly so, people post on social media. But its also upon me to ensure that my message reaches to the right people, such that the issue I faced is NOT faced by others. The story won’t end only with my issue being resolved. A system which I am a part of (directly OR in-directly) will affect me, one day or the other, if I won’t help, make it better!

Someone has to own it up and why can’t we, the customers? The company will.

These are Challenging Times and You Can’t Leave a System, Coz its Not Working for You!

For all those who are a little in tune with the global dynamics int he online travel industry, there is much consolidation in the space and there is a lot happening in the domestic space with airlines directly reaching out to the customers. These are challenges which every online travel company is facing and is braving them!

Now, lets take it this way: if a system has started slowing down for me, OR somehow losing its efficiency, will I leave it and find another green ground somewhere OR can I still stand up and put up a stand and make a difference?

Well, personally I choose the second option. I won’t leave, till the system is absolutely worthless and is like dead for me.

Say it out Loud and I will help You Get Heard by the Right People

As a first step, let me open this out as a forum to anyone and everyone, who has had a bad experience with MMT over the past 1 month. Please be specific in your comments and I will take them to just the right folks and get the answers.

Let’s help the dream of one of the few Indian Internet Billion Dollar Companies, raise its game and create many more dreams!

Expectation Setting

Let me clarify straight ahead, that comments to this post will be moderated and anything which is a comment on a personal basis will NOT be entertained.

Creating Smiles!

Lets get the SMILES back and get the dream run, running faster!!

First Click Attribution: Defining Social Behavior

March 25th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

There is much talk around how is social media influencing actual transactions. Is there actual commerce happening around? A recent study by Adobe Social Marketing, the Digital Index Social Report suggests how marketers are still lacking in terms of the credit they ought to give to social, which is influencing buying behavior.

Interestingly Adobe gives a great emphasis on the first click attribution, the discussion suggests that marketers mostly use the last click attribution model, to really assess the impact of social on their website traffic and further, the customer engagement with the content, commerce etc. on the website.

What is attribution: lets simplify things

To simply put, attribution is nothing but a fancy term given to the basic activity which marketers do, which is of understanding how various methods of outreach are adding ROI. In further simple language, attribution is like giving the right credit to the right source, just as it happens in real life.

What happens online?

There is so much for businesses to understand and track online, that most of the times they lose track of what is happening and what is it finally leading to. Take a case of a small and emerging business. These are businesses which cannot afford to have large in-house teams and cannot hire large agencies as well. So how do they track what’s happening online and how are they being impacted?

If your customer is searching for you on a search engine, from which he clicks a paid advertisement he sees OR that he moves onto a social network and once again sees your brand there and clicks on the same, reaches to a landing page on your website, where he sees a call to action and transacts.

Now what would you attribute the transaction to? The search engine, the paid ad, the social network, the content, the call to action on the website?

In my view

In my view, its a mix of all. Obviously you can always track, which keywords did your customer land onto your website from, if he lands from a search engine and using similar keywords (or better) you create powerful content and target paid ads. Its first click attribution in this obviously makes for an interesting number to see and track, but it has to be a mix of the first click – the call to action and the last click.

Assessing the fact as to which stage of the process of engaging with your brand is the customer taking an action and changing, is difficult, till the time the customer actually suggests, what attracted him/ influenced him and at what stage OR that you are focusing only on a single medium heavily, then you would obviously be able to assess what’s happening and how.

The key elements

To engage your TG in the relevant conversation and drive them to take an desired action, I strongly believe, what you require is powerfully engaging content. This content then has to be “distributed” the right way across channels, which are relevant to your business. To keep things simple, I consider paid media as a form of content distribution only.

The trick here is to optimize your content and the distribution and keep strong checks at every level, to understand where is the customer most responsive and when and based upon the response, the transactions happening online.

So is it the first click OR the last click?

They both combined are still inadequate. I believe the right model is, first click + last click + touching your customer in the offline world. Once there is a transaction, go touch your customer in the real world, with a phone call/ a visit (I understand this will always not be possible) OR meet your customer at events/ gatherings. Take feedback. Real Feedback.

This will give you the real sense and cut the non-sense.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview: The Trick and The Loss

March 9th, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

Okay, so this post is going to be short and quick. Its about a piece of software called Windows 8. The consumer preview was launched a couple of days back and with the frenzy around, I downloaded it on my system. It took a fairly long time to download and when it did, It took a whole effort on installing it.

While the install was happening, I always had this strangely un-nerving feeling, as to something is not going to be right. Anyway, the install happened and just when I turned on the laptop and used the system twice, I found that Windows 7 was probably better and faster to use than its more dashing new born cousin.

Now I always thought, since this is a consumer preview version, it will get installed as an additional software on my system, taking some disk space and that I can always un-install it. Though to my utter surprise and (disgust) later, I found out, that Windows 8 has over-written the Windows 7 installed on the system and no go back to Win 7, I would need to first take a back-up, re-install Win7 from the boot up DVD which will also help me un-install Win 8.

What pissed me off?

While I have been personally impressed with the Windows phone, the way Win 8, got installed into my system, seems like an intrusion. It never prompted me as a user, that my current Win 7 will be over written. All it said was that I need to un-install MS Security Essentials, which I said was a fair chance to take to check out the new Win 8 preview.

Its a sad state that the user which MS was targeting is now pretty miffed at the fact that he was not even asked first for a consent to sit into his system. Now one can always say, it was in the fine print and somewhere in the conditions which I accepted by checking some radio button while install, but if it was this critical, as a user I should have been made aware of what changes the install will do to my system.

I would certainly not advice anyone right now, to install the Win 8 preview, the UI is good, though more from the touch perspective. On my laptop, I would still prefer Win 7. And if you still go ahead, ensure that you make a disk partition first and then go ahead with the installation.

The Lesson

Tech companies must understand that the user today is far more evolved and would hate it if something (anything) happens without his/ her consent, even if the product is superb. Its not just about the product, its about ME (the user).

Pin the Pinned, That’s What People are Doing on Pinterest

February 19th, 2012 § 1 comment § permalink

Okay, enough about which is that one site which is breaking all traffic records, is making everyone go gaga and crazy about the meteoric rise. I am not going to write all the stuff which has already been said. No point.

Lets look at some interesting trends

Interestingly, I have realized over the past few days/ weeks that I have been on Pinterest, how people in my network have started following me and my own trends of following people (how am I reacting to the information around) and sharing trends.

Here’s what I realized!

Almost every 10 minutes that I spent on Pinterest, I have shared (re-pinned) more pictures from my network than I have shared my originals. The similar is the trend which I have seen of my followers. I keep getting many repeated pictures from many in the network. One other trend I am seeing is, people are fiercely commenting on “objects”. Example: Cars, Flowers, Bags, Jewellery.

I see that people are not sharing thoughts here. Even if you follow the comments of a pin, you will find, people are expressing their views, like a customer to a product. More like a product review happening socially.

Interest based social networks: the future

Am I being futuristic in my thought by saying Interest based social networks are the future, absolutely not. Its anyone’s guess. But what is sure going to matter as we go ahead, is the way information is presented.

Content: which human sense are you touching!

In my view, what has always been said from the very beginning, that content is the key. I have a way to share this. Whenever I create content, I ensure that I ask myself and my client, the question, as to who are their customers and how are the customers going to be most touched about the proposition. Its really about which of the human senses are you touching with your content?

Is is the sense of sight, the sense of sound? In my view, the next level, is all about how do you create content, which is simple, yet moving. It might not be a WOW video, but something that actually delivers an ‘object’. The thought is to create content which in a single shot convey the message of what is it all about. Eg: a model wearing a dress, is effectively about either photography OR the dress. Simple.

The basics remain the same still!

The basics of internet still are the same. Bring the information to the customer in as less clicks as possible. Make sharing and gathering user’s views, like a simple handshake, this has already been enabled by great UI. The future clearly is greatly going to be driven by Static Images, Short videos and ‘mood oriented’ music.

Well, and closing with the Pinteresting thought, follow me on Pinterest: http://pinterest.com/paritoshsharma/

India: A Strange Case of Doing Nothing and Still Expecting!

February 19th, 2012 § 3 comments § permalink

Let me first start this post by stating very clearly, that I am a proud Indian. For me my country comes first and whatever I do, I try and always keep my country before even my family!

I have a major problem, though we the fellow countrymen!

I visited the Taj Mahal today. Drove 380 Kms from Delhi to Agra and back and let me put it up straight. I am sad, extremely sad to see my India like this. People are turning indifferent. In this whole race of making money and living lives which are aspirational, I see many Indians, living nothing. Aspirational, I believe they don’t even know the meaning of this word. And even if they do and are striving hard to be something, then they are not sharing their learning’s with other people, such that good expands!

My drive from Delhi – Agra

The highway from Delhi to Agra, is probably one of the worst I have seen around. Narrow roads, absolutely uncontrolled and ill-managed traffic. Road condition fairly poor, jams, very much there!

When I reached near the Taj Mahal

I was driving almost in a 1km radius around the Taj and wallah, there was sewer water on the road. At a round about, from where you can see the Yamuna river, well, welcome, its been left to nothing. Its an actual nullah. I am not exaggerating. I so hope I could have. And policemen standing around, well, they have nothing better to do, than to stop an occasional chap to cough up some money. That’s it.

As I queued up for the entry ticket to Taj

Even before you reach the ticket counter, you get to meet these hungry eyed “so called guides” who will talk to you in English, as if you are an INTL. tourist and tell you, look sir, if you want to get in earlier than everyone else, pay us INR 370 and we will do it all for you and show you “the place”.

There was a crowd I am sure of over 1000 people from all across the world and well, there 3 ticket counters, though there is enough space for it. Are there online tickets? no-one knows!!

Okay, so now we enter in and to do the mandatory security check of everyone entering in, the VIP gate from which we entered, had almost a 100 people entering in our batch and there were only 3 body scan machines. It took us almost an hour from buying the entry ticket to entering the Taj premises.

Rupee 2 of a service charge to use washrooms, with no cleanliness OR water?!

Yes, water comes, only when there is electricity and there was no electricity. If you once hear to what the high paying foreign tourist comments upon, well, you will be ashamed and start hiding yourself somewhere. I tried challenging the authorities there, the only answer that came was, no electricity and its not our job!

Don’t shop much, there are pickpockets!

My Aha! Moment, was when we were reaching the Taj Mahal, West Gate parking, where 3 stationed policemen, one of them stops us and says, yahan jeb kaat lete hain. Now a policeman smiling and telling me this, how safe do I feel, I mean, what are we coming to?

Coming, back from the Taj, today, I am feeling overwhelmed. I have never seen an India like this before. I mean, an indifferent India. Where is the growth till you don’t have basic integrity and other features in place? I am challenging myself as an Indian, fundamentally today. What have I done which has really impacted the society around? other than writing this post, how am I actively involved in getting Yamuna back, well practically nowhere!

I am particularly passionate about creating the next gen of educated Indians. I come from a whole family of teachers and I teach kids who are challenged financially, but are amazing otherwise!! Come on, rise up to the challenge right now!

My Quest for Understanding Nothing

January 8th, 2012 § 4 comments § permalink

The title of this post would have suggested by now, that this is not about social media or marketing. Yes, its not. This one is under the life experiences and learning’s which I share.

A confession – for the first time in public!

This is probably for the first time in public, that I am sharing this. There is this strange presence of a floating figure inside me, which makes me be in a situation, be present to everything which is happening around me and still see myself standing at a distance and seeing the entire action unfolding in front of me, as if I am an audience and never a part of the situation.

A confusion!

Over the last many years I have lived, just like everyone else, I have taken decisions, calls, many of which worked out for the great, some for the good and the others, well, I learnt great deals from them (people call them failures). But still the confusion remains, is this the right thing I am doing?

Though overtime I have also realized there is nothing called ‘right OR ‘wrong’. Its all actually a perceptive notion made by the human mind. Interestingly, the human mind makes itself suffer by making things wrong OR right. It just somehow makes its own meanings to things and then creates a ghost called ego, which makes the human take drastic steps to keep the meaning up-right.

Who am I?

I am thankful to the clear vast sky above, yes, I am sane still. I have learnt from the vast, endless sky along with the Bhagvad Gita (a Hindu scripture), the answer to the question, who am I?

The reality is, I am nothing but an ‘awareness’ which is a complex combination of biological processes. There are many things that form ‘me’. I am actually existing, only till the time, I am conscious about it.

To make things simpler: when we fall un-conscious, there is nothing that we feel/ experience. The human hence is the exact opposite of this state. The conscious. The human actually is the ‘conscious’.

The reality of life – But I get hurt!

Yes, as a human I get hurt. I do have emotions, I do feel pain, I do smile, I eat, I fight, I love.

An Activity for everyone reading this post, for the next minute: replace the ‘I’ in the above line, with your conscious. You feel the pain when you make yourself conscious about it. You love, when you are conscious about it.

The moment you realize that its NOT ‘you’ but your ‘Conscious’ which you are dealing with ultimately, you get the powerful insight, which makes you realize, no-one can actually hurt you. No-one can actually harm you. You can powerfully change the play of ‘existence’ of that ‘conscious’ by making your ‘conscious’ stronger than the one, which might hurt you in any manner. Here the expression ‘stronger’ means, you can make the other person (conscious) cease to exist for yourself (conscious), by just being present to the thought always, that all that you are dealing with is another ‘Conscious’.

So what is the human then  - if its the conscious?

The body is another form given to conscious. Its like the car body which conceals the engine. There are deep descriptions of the soul OR the aatman in Hinduism. A powerful extension to the aatman is ‘Aadhyatma’. Aadhyatma is the understanding of the inner self, the soul.

Once you learn to keep the ‘Aadhyatma’ growing, while keeping yourself ‘aware’ always of the fact that you are nothing but a conscious, you will learn one of the most powerful expressions of human life: ‘detachment’. You will be able to clearly establish a distinction between the ‘aatman’ and the ‘body’.

This distinction is the understanding of: Nothing

Nothingness is the ultimate state to be in. You can be with millions of dollars in your bank and still be in the state of nothingness. Once you are clearly able to create this distinction, you start experiencing some interesting things, which I am experiencing now-adays:

  • There is no-one out there to hurt me/ harm me and I strongly believe it
  • My body can be taken, but not my conscious
  • I still need to do everything I am to do in my lifetime, take birth, study, get married, have a family, die, but my conscious remains and that is what I need to build in my lifetime, because everything else I do/ have, will finish/ cease to exist for me, the moment I end.
  • I am limitless, there is no definition that can define me, I am a ‘conscious’.

But where is Nothing?

That’s the entire point. Life ends with nothing. There is only the conscious which remains.

Lessons learnt?

There is so much more to life than doing the usual things we do. For a start, I would like to mention two expressions, hatred and forgiveness. Both the emotions have been talked about greatly in the Bhagvad Gita and the Mahabharata. I am trying in my personal life, to move my ‘living’ conscious towards forgiveness. At times the confusions cloud the mind, but when you close your eyes and tell yourself, that you are only ‘your conscious’, well, then you go the extra mile to make your conscious rise higher than anything else around.

Can you implement this in business?

Well yes! Treat your business as a life, which remains for you till your very existence and ceases to exist for you the moment you do. Now if you treat your business as your ‘conscious’ then you will constantly move towards improving it. For your employees, your customers, stakeholders and the ecosystem around.

Design, Story Telling and the Sense of Touch

January 1st, 2012 § 0 comments § permalink

This post is truly inspired, ohh and well, before I begin, its 1st January 2012 and I wish everyone a healthy, happy, loving and successful new year!

Its been about a month odd for me using a Windows Phone. Its a Samsung Focus, a phone not yet available in India. Now before I talk about the specs, unboxing it is as simple as any other phone in the market. The built is good, easily fits in your hands, good camera.

So much so for the phone, but what’s inside is, what makes it sexy!

The phone is a Windows Phone, I upgraded it to Mango. But let me rewind the picture a little before we go ahead. Before this phone, I was using a Symbian Nokia e63 QWERTY phone. Obviously since I have been using it for many years now, I was used to it. So much so that I could write an SMS without looking at the phone even while driving on Delhi streets.

Experiment Begins – going back to Symbian!

After about 22 days of WP, I again tried going back to the Symbian I have been using. Surprisingly, it took me time to go back to the QWERTY keys. One of the reactive thoughts I had in my brain was how the sense of touch and the great UI of the windows phone had got me hooked. The ease of sliding through pictures, the intelligent word suggestions by the phone while writing SMS’s/ Notes had hooked me to quicken things up and I loved it.

The story before the WP experience

All my pals who had a touch screen phone, majorly the iPhone before, I had a single question for them, as to, how could they type SMS’s so fast on the touch screen? It took me about 5 days to get used to the same and today I find intuitive typing and suggestions on the WP far better than my old Symbian.

Intelligence and Dependency

Obviously in this age of social networking and with a lifestyle which demands constant brain uptime, there is always a need of syncing things up. The WP, synced my social networks with such an amazing ease that to know the various events, I don’t even have to log into facebook anymore. I have my calendar ready at least with Birthdays’ etc. already.

Ohh that Address for the meeting

Going for meetings to places which are completely new, a simple meeting request on the WP gets synced to the calendar with all the information which is available in one touch. With the Symbian, the story was a little cumbersome and different.

There is a whole love story happening here, the design which fits in the hands, the sense of touch which is invigorated at every touch of the screen and the story which it creates, makes the WP an experience in itself.

Let your machines be closer to the human emotion and you have a killer product!

One experiential lesson I have learnt from the entire experience is that engineers who are focused on making the next killer product should look at learning from two things:

  1. Nature
  2. Human Senses and Emotions

Coz, if your product co-creates that ohh so inspiring and awe creating love story with your user, well, you have a blockbuster with you!!

I Wear My TiE on My Sleeve

December 28th, 2011 § 0 comments § permalink

No, I have not lost my brains yet. And certainly I am not reeling under the new year fervor. The context is, post doing my Social Media consulting company, Until ROI Consulting Pvt. Ltd. I joined The Indus Entrepreneurs, TiE Delhi – NCR chapter. Its been a fantastic journey and its growing and getting exciting by the day. There is so much to do and so much to learn.

Though I Have a Problem and So Do Almost 1500 odd People!

TiE Delhi – NCR is one of the best chapters globally and we are growing and am I excited to say this, hell yeah! But let me share my experience from my interactions with TiE Delhi – NCR members and entrepreneurs who are still not aware of what all they can achieve, by being part of the world’s largest entrepreneurial network.

Most of our members have amazing feedback to share with us and I feel amazing at times to hear from a young entrepreneur when he comes and says, TiE helped me grow my business from this level to where I am today.

There is another set, though who have yet not realized the power of the network. Yes, I have always been telling fellow entrepreneurs, that TiE is the world’s largest network of entrepreneurs and well, if you are still not leveraging the power of networking, then you have still much to work upon.

My Personal Experience!

Before joining TiE, I was also a member with the Delhi chapter and let me be honest, I was much helped in my business by the team. I used to volunteer in many events without seeing a profit motive and in almost every event, the network automatically helped me create many new business opportunities.

But what helped me here, was my own pro-active approach to leverage the network by being a member. This is exactly what I tell people who ask me what’s the benefit of being a TiE member?

Gentlemen, I am sharing the Secret, Listen Carefully!

Its simple, once you are a TiE member (which takes less than INR 10 a day of an investment, as INR 3309/- (annual membership fee) broken down is less than INR 10 a day). You could simply use your debit/ credit card to make payments online on the official TiE Delhi site and wallah you are in.

What Next?

Hold your horses guys, well, next comes the step of engaging with the team and letting the TiE team know more about you and look at exploring various possibilities. How to do this?

Call a TiE Delhi team member for a coffee and well, set your objectives and plan your various engagement pointers with TiE.

Attend Events – these are golden networking and knowledge opportunities!

Ohh Yes! You might be a great networker and you might know everything there is to know in the world. But believe you me, I have been on both sides of the table. Attending TiE events and doing them now. And these are amazing opportunities, which are to be latched upon and not to miss.

Ohh my ROI!

Its better to say Ohh my ROI than Ohh my Gawd later. Yes, I realized it early in my entrepreneurial stint. Investing a couple of thousands in attending TiE events and other Industry association events year round is well worth every penny. Obviously how worthy do I make of it is my own skills.

My simple suggestion to all entrepreneurial brains is straight. The network is open for you. The value is there which has been created over 2 decades. Now its upon you to leverage the same and create bigger opportunities.

If You Still Have Questions?

Well, if you still have questions, call me/ write to me: paritosh@tienewdelhi.org

Why am I doing this, Is this part of my Job?

As a clarification, at TiE its not about doing a ‘job’. What I enjoy most is the freedom to create value added initiatives and super quick decision making. No, this post is NOT a part of my job in any manner and has not been influenced by anyone.

Its about how badly I want every entrepreneur to come and be part of the world’s largest network of entrepreneurs which is available so simply. Obviously you have to be proactive to keep in touch and build opportunities.
